Kejriwal also claimed that over 12 lakh wealthy individuals had left India in recent years. He defended his former ministers who were jailed on corruption charges and criticized the BJP's policies, including demonetization. In response, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of fearing the BJP's return to power and misusing the term patriotism.
